The Impacts Of Climate Change In Our World

This video shows some of the changes that are already starting to happen in places like Africa, Asia and The Western United States. It would appear that drastic steps need to be taken to try and curb climate change or we could face some nasty consequences. The effects are being felt all over the world and things are only going to get worse if nothing is done...

This next clip shows us the beautiful O'Higgins Glacier in Chile, it is one of the faster retreating glaciers in the world! I think a lot of people aren't taking into consideration the fact that many countries throughout the world get much of their drinking water from glacier runoffs. This will bring up a huge problem as studies have shown that a whopping 90% of the world's glaciers are retreating!

Our governments need to stop all this debating and take some action! It seems like everyday a new story comes out like these.

Everybody talks about how bad it is going to be in the future when some of the effects are already being felt around the globe! Not good!

  2. Nothing new here. The climate has been warming and cooling since the earth got an atmosphere. I don't see what all the fuss is about?????

I'd much rather be in a warming world than a cooling one. Life tends to flourish when it's not under an ice sheet.

  3. Dave,

If you were in Australia last year I think you would see things a little different. They had the worst drought on record and they are not the only place. Just because you are doing fine in your air conditioned house doesn't mean the rest of the world will survive... Do a bit of research you would be surprised how quickly the climate is changing.

Of course the climate has changed over the years, just not this fast and not with a direct correlation to c02 levels. Think of future generations... can you afford to be wrong?
