Here is a Brief History of US Energy
An interesting look at the evolution of oil and other fossel fuels.
I found this video clip interesting however something bothers me about selling gas or nuclear for that matter as a green alternative when there is no inclusion of the need to consume less in the first place and change our way of life - in particular the way we build and the way we travel.
As an aside, I've always wondered what effects (if any) there are when huge natural gas deposits are continually withdrawn from the earth? I mean what ecological purpose (if any) do these gas deposits serve? Surely they have some part to play in the ecological balance of things? I've never heard or read anything on this topic - have you?
