Arctic Ice In A "Death Spiral"

Well we didn't manage to beat last years record thaw in the Arctic, but this years melt was the second worst on record in the Arctic. A disturbing trend has been forming over the past few decades and it looks like things are only going to get worse. Remember all of this melting is just going to increase the Snowball Effects of Global Warming. The more ice that is melted the more heat is absorbed by the darker seas. Also methane and other greenhouse gases are released as the ice continues to melt...

Climate Change In The Arctic

Some people might not understand that the arctic is actually warming twice as faster as most other areas on the planet. So while you might not be feeling the effects of climate change in your area it is only a matter of time. This footage provided by the BBC shows an amazing 10 mile long ice block that just split off of the main arctic ice pack... the most significant change to the arctic for decades!
